Say Cheese

The other day Tanner was playing with Daddy's american express card, and I couldn't quite figure out what he was doing until I watched this video again!  He is taking pictures, and saying "cheese" over and over!

He is for sure my little "Cheezer"

Phone

Tanner really loves cell phones!  He would play with mine or his Dad's all day if we would let him! Another thing that he really likes to do is call Dad at work.

Obsession

All I can say is that we watched parts of Cars at least every other day for about 2 months!  I think I've got the whole thing memorized!  Tanner is obsessed I tell you!

He was even trying to look like a car. I guess the blanket is supposed to be the hood?

No matter, he thought it was a great idea!

And then along came........

Buzz!  Ya, you guessed it!  Another obsession!  Some days the first thing I hear in the morning when Tanner wakes is "Buzz, Buzz, Woody, Buzz"

He laughs at all the funny parts and is really getting into humorous things!

But when its time to turn it off - Tanner is one unhappy guy!

Please Mom.... I want to watch it again!

So Big

I really can't get over how big Tanner is getting!  He looks so much like a boy (no baby) when he wears a hat!  He is wearing one of my hats!

Doesn't he look so big?

Hap Burday

Tanner loves the Happy Birthday song!  He has always liked it!  He has recently started singing it at least 2-3 times daily.  Little stinker won't ever look at the camera while singing it, but it's still so cute!

Tanner's Tryke

Today the Fed Ex man brought Tanner a new Tryke!  It is an Amtryke therapeutic tryke. It has hand cranks and straps on the pedals to hold Tanner's feet in place. Once he learns how, he will be able to ride a tryke!
I'm so excited for him!  Thanks to all those who donated the $ in order to get this for him!
It came unassembled, and took me about an hour to put together!

"Is this how you do it Mom?"

So far he loves it! On to bigger and better adventures!

Tanner says "Thank you!"

Some of Tanner's FAV's

So lately Tanner has had a lot of favorite things.  His obsessions have been changing from day to day, and boy is he ever stubborn about them!  That's right, I have a full blown 2 year old on my hands.  Temper tantrums, anger, stubbornness, shouting, screaming, hitting.... you name it... he's done it at one point or another.  :)

June 2010, we were able to go to Disneyland CA.  Some of my old coworkers pitched in and gave Tanner mickey ears before we went.  Up until a few weeks ago, Tanner refused to wear them, and now he doesn't hardly take them off!

He also loves to play with shoes!

Since he isn't walking yet, he wears them on his hands and crawls around with them on.

He is such a cute boy in his ears and mommy's shoes!

Oh, don't forget giving his stuffed mickey a ride on the train, another obsession!

The last Saturday of January we went to the Phoenix Zoo with all of Ray's siblings families.  The only animal Tanner REALLY likes is a giraffe. Since Tanner is still under 3 almost all the "extras" are free for him.  He "wanted" to feed the giraffe until we were close.  And then he clung to me for dear life!

It was still fun to see his reaction and everyone else's as I "tortured" my child.  I'm sure the zoo workers thought I was being a mean mom!

Ouside.....

Tanner is now really, really, really into sand!  He loves it!  He could probably play in it all day long if I would let him!  His favorite thing is to shovel sand into a pail, and then dump it out again over and over and over again.

We were able to get a sand play area at our house thanks to Grandpa Ken, who bought all the sand for us.  It was dumped right inside our gate by a big dump truck.  Tanner loved the truck, but it scared him when it started to dump the sand!  And he took off!  As you can see it's a big pile of sand!

All the sand had to be hand shoveled into the hole that Ray had dug out previously.  I did about 1/3 of it, and Ray did the rest.  Tanner loves it!

Tanner also loves this little car which he is getting way to big for!  While riding in it, he says "vrrroommm, vrrrooommm!  It's so cute!

Tanner is also becoming more and more independent, and is constantly saying "self, self" (do myself).  He will try and try something before he finally asks for "elp eee" (help me)

He is usually happy and is always making me laugh!

When not outside, Tanner loves to look out the windows.  Our windows are quite high off the floor, so here he is sitting on a tv stand with me close by.

"Please Mom, let's go outside"
